Privacy policy, Sæi ehf.
Data controller Sæi ehf., company ID 620825-0260, Súðarvogur 34, 104 Reykjavík, Iceland, is responsible for the processing of personal data in the online shop at saei.is. Questions can be sent to hallo@saei.is.
What data is collected
- Name, address, email and phone number provided when ordering.
- Order history and correspondence with Sæi.
- Email addresses of newsletter subscribers.
- Technical data about visits, such as cookies, IP address and device type.
Card details go directly to Teya and are never stored by Sæi.
How the data is used
- To process and ship orders and provide customer service (performance of a contract).
- To meet legal obligations, such as bookkeeping (legal obligation).
- To send newsletters, only with consent that can be withdrawn at any time (consent).
- To keep the website secure and improve it (legitimate interests).
Who receives the data Sæi never sells personal data. The following service providers process data on Sæi's behalf, only as far as necessary:
- Shopify (online shop platform)
- Teya (payments)
- Dropp (shipping)
- Product Samples (fabric samples)
- Shopify Email (newsletters)
- Meta (advertising and measurement via Meta Pixel)
Some of these providers may process data outside the EEA. In those cases, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long data is kept Accounting records, including orders, are kept for seven years as required by Icelandic bookkeeping law. Newsletter email addresses are kept until the subscriber unsubscribes. Other data is kept no longer than necessary.
Your rights You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to processing and withdraw consent. Send requests to hallo@saei.is. You can also lodge a complaint with the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (Persónuvernd, personuvernd.is).
Cookies The website uses necessary cookies for the shop to work. Other cookies, such as for analytics or advertising, are only used with consent.
