The Elastic Tie sweater has a rather straight fit with traditional ease, so it's best to base your size choice on your bust measurement. The gathers created by the elastic act like bust darts, and the length of the elastic can be adjusted as needed.

Medium-weight fabrics are recommended, such as cotton twill, denim, or light canvas.

Thread, 0.5 m of elastic (3 mm wide), 10 cm of hem tape (hemfix) - 2.5 cm wide, and
0.5 m of interfacing or fusible interfacing.
