Black crepe de chine in a silk/acetate blend with a soft texture and flowing drape. The fabric has a slight stretch that enhances comfort and gives garments beautiful movement. It is well-suited for tops, blouses, shirts, dresses, and skirts—both in simple designs and garments where draping can be showcased.
Acetate is a cellulose fiber derived from natural raw materials and produced using a similar process to viscose. It is considered a "man-made" fiber, but not a synthetic fabric in the same sense as polyester or acrylic. In this blend, acetate gives the fabric a slightly drier, "raw" texture and a little "crispness," while the silk softens and adds a beautiful sheen and soft drape.
This fabric is deadstock from Dries van Noten and is therefore available in limited quantities. Once sold out, it will not be available again.
