The Cuff top is both simple and enjoyable to sew, yet elegant. It is one of TAL's most popular patterns and is sewn again, and again, and again. The pattern is roomy with short sleeves and wide elastic cuffs.
Sizes XS–L have a straight fit and a boat neckline. Sizes XL–3XL are more shaped under the armhole with bust darts and a keyhole back that fastens with a button.
The Cuff top MINI is a children's version of the same design. It has a straight fit, a keyhole back with a snap closure, and short sleeves with wide elastic cuffs. The pattern includes sizes 3–4, 5–6, 7–8, and 9–10 years.

Get even more out of the pattern
– Omit front and back seams and place the pattern on the fold (without seam allowance)
– Add piping to the center front and/or back
– Use a different color of thread for topstitching
– Experiment with different elastic widths
– Different fabric choices can completely change the overall look and feel of the garment
This top pairs very well with most pants and skirts from TAL, and if the same fabric is chosen, it can function as a dress when suitable.

The Cuff top is a boxy and loose-fitting pattern, making it easy to choose a size. Although there are differences in the size ranges – XS–L have a straight fit, while XL–4XL are more shaped under the armhole with bust darts – it is sufficient to use the bust measurement when choosing a size.

Light to medium-weight fabrics are recommended, for example, cotton, silk, cotton lawn, linen, crepe de chine, or wool crepe.
